1. Not giving a f*.
I’m 100% addicted to ‘not giving a f’ way of life. This can easily be misunderstood, there’s a difference between being rude & negative and being carefree & loving yourself. Whether you’re stressing out about getting the perfect bikini body, about a relationship, some kind of a drama, all the things you should do (most people have that endless list of shoulds in the back of their minds) – the best solution is to just let go. It’s easier said than done, but when you get a tiny taste of how happy you could be with caring a little less, you get addicted. And that’s a positive addiction to feed. I haven’t decided yet which book I should read to strengthen these thoughts: Sarah Knight’s The Life-Changing Magic of Not Giving a F**k or Mark Manson’s The Subtle Art of Not Giving a Fuck. Adding one of them to my summer bucket book list. (Any opinions on these?)
But shortly: stressing out about stuff won’t move you towards your goals, it will only create more stress. Caring less will create more happiness, freedom & creativity. You can still have specific goals and things you want to achieve, they are easier to achieve when you have a free mind and you are excited about life without all the fuss and stress.
1. Not giving a f*.
Tästä aiheesta on useampiakin kirjoja joista en ole vielä päättänyt mitä lukisin, Sarah Knightin The Life-Changing Magic of Not Giving a F**k tai Mark Mansonin The Subtle Art of Not Giving a Fuck ovat vaihtoehtoina kesän lukulistalle.
2. Spontaneousity
I love how Mel Robbins have explained the 5 second rule, we all have a habit of hesitating. In five second window we either take action or hesitate, usually hesitate. Hesitation sends a stress signal to our brain, and since our brain is designed to protect us from basically everything, we stop. So whatever you can do differently, whatever fun ideas you get, just do it without hesitating. Summer is the time to be spontaneous, make each day unique.
I might wakeup crazy early to see the sun rise while walking Minnie, eat a new kind of breakfast on the balcony, grab my laptop and go work from a cafe, enjoy an ice-cream by myself in the park, say something nice to someone without just thinking it in my head, suggest my friend to go for a glass of wine in the evening etc. In general listen to my instincts and ideas and just doing. I know it sounds funny saying “eat new kind of breakfast”, like wow how wild is that, but it really affects on everything when you do something in a new way. It removes limitations. My motto this summer could be no limitations. So however you could add more spontaneousity in your life, do it!
2. Spontaanius
Ratkaisu tähän on tietoisesti spontaaneihin ideoihin tarttuminen samantien. Paino siis sanalla samantien. Mitä enemmän tekee asioita uudella tavalla, sitä enemmän poistaa rajoja ja kapeutunutta tapaa elää. Ja kesä jos joku on spontaaniuden aikaa. Eli vaikka miten pieneltä tuntuisi esimerkiksi kokeilla uutta aamiaista, kokeilla uutta asua, kävellä uutta reittiä, ehdottaa kaverille after work -viinejä, spontaanisti napata jätski mukaan kotimatkalla, hetken mielijohteesta kehua jota kuta jostain – mitä ikinä pientä uutta tekeekin, niin vaikutukset voivat olla suuret.
3. Outdoor life
No explanations needed. The nature is the most beautiful right now in my opinion. Now I’m going to go for an evening walk by the seaside while listening to a podcast. These warm summer evenings are the best.

All those sounds really great. I especially like how you pointed out the difference between being rude and not caring because I definitely need a dose of not giving a f’ myself. I stress about things and scenarios that do not even exist and it just makes things worse for me. So following your three rules, I should go outside, try something new and try to care less this summer.
Love the photos too!

I´m actually reading Sarah Knight’s The Life-Changing Magic of Not Giving a F**k at the moment. I`m little bit struggling with those “not giving a f*ck lists” which you have to do in that book, but I still highly recommend it 😉

You always repeat this ” I’m not spontaneous enough” kind of thing. Boring.

I read this Sarah Knight’s book and honestly I expected more from it. Wasn’t a total crap, but not very inspiring or life- changing 😉 But I really like your idea of not giving f***. I’m still struggling with being hypersensitive and caring too much about everything. How exhausting it is!
Btw, you look awesome! London suits you <3

I really have got to work on my spontaneously. I always try to plan out every little thing I do that day and week for that matter. I think it’s good to have thinks written down and to have a plan so you are just sitting there, staring at the wall wondering what to do half the time. However, I really am a creature of habit and routine and get slightly frumpy when I have to do otherwise. I think I will challenge myself this summer to be more spontaneous and not get super upset if something doesn’t go to plan. 🙂

This has to be my favourite post of yours. I love how the whole post is about about happiness and not material things. Things that anyone can start implementing into their every day lives to feel more happiness. I always forget about the 5 second rule so I’m going to try and remember it, so thanks for sharing it!

Such a nice outfit 🙂 And a great new approach to life, one I’m trying to apply as well!
I was also a bit disappointed by Sara Knights book, but absolutely loved the one by Mark Swanson! Has a different message than other self-help books, I feel 🙂

Mark Manson has an article about this, so if you haven’t checked it out yet, see if you like his style. I like it a lot, sometimes men can be more straightforward about saying things.

I love all of these! I definitely could use a dose of spontaneity lately, I’ve been in a bit of a rut with myself so this will help loads! 🙂 I like how you’ve shown the positive and negative ways in which we can not give a f*** as I think sometimes people can get the wrong idea, so I like how you’ve pointed that out. I have sometimes seen people come across the more negative way when they have been trying to be the positive way haha!
Although I have never read Sara Knight’s book, I have heard brilliant reviews about it. I have 2 of her other books and they are great 🙂

I love this post!!! I need to give less f*** too. I don‘t know either of the books, but heard about the first one. Would be great if you posted about which you choose and how you like it!!
Keep giving no f*** (but not about everything, like nature and environment)!
